South Central Oregon Economic Development District
A regional approach to economic development in South Central Oregon
OVERVIEW OF THE DISTRICT.
OUR STORY.
The District — also known as the South Central Oregon Economic Development District — serves as the region’s coordinating force for economic development. We work alongside entrepreneurs, small businesses, local governments, and partners to strengthen the regional economy through strategic planning, access to capital, technical assistance, and collaboration.
The District exists to make economic development clearer, more accessible, and more effective. We focus on readiness — preparing businesses, projects, and communities to succeed within the broader economic ecosystem. By aligning partners, resources, and strategy, we help move ideas forward and create conditions for long-term regional prosperity.
Our role is not to replace existing partners, but to bridge gaps — helping businesses become ready for investment, aligning resources across jurisdictions, and ensuring communities have the tools they need to grow with intention. Through clarity, coordination, and regional leadership, The District supports economic opportunity that is sustainable, inclusive, and rooted in local strengths.
